Captain Hair takes the stress and worry out of losing your hair. We aim to demystify the world of hair replacement, currently mired with high-tech jargon to justify sky-high prices.
So, what exactly is a hair system?
Surprisingly, it’s incredibly simple. You may have heard of terms such as THR (transdermal hair restoration), non-surgical hair grafts, bio-matrix, etc. These are simply marketing terms, which are employed to create the perception of a complex and technical product and process.
Once you strip back the advertising puff, these terms are essentially all describing the same thing; a hair system.
A hair system is defined by the American Hair Loss Council as “Any external hair bearing device added to existing hair or scalp to give one the appearance of a fuller head of hair. (i.e. hair weaves, hair extensions, hair pieces, toupees, non-surgical hair replacements, partial hair prostheses, hair wefts, etc.).
Whilst we’ve established a basic understanding of a hair system, it is important to note that there is a significant difference between a good (natural looking and undetectable) hair system and a bad one.
So, how do you avoid buying a bad hair system?
We offer you a pleasant alternative to learning from your own mistakes. Learn from ours. All of our staff are hair system wearers. As former clients of expensive hair clubs and studios, we have tried and tested every hair system on the market today, and have spent thousands in the process.
Not satisfied with the high prices, lack of information regarding our options and poor quality hair systems, we have pioneered to give fellow hair wearers more choice, better education, superior quality - all for an affordable price.
Choosing the right hair system?
Selecting the right hair replacement system is a highly individual choice. Some clients demand the highest level of appearance and undetectability and order very delicate hair systems, whilst others place an emphasis on durability, in favour of a hair system that lasts longer and offers a higher level of value.
We have designed a range of hair replacement systems to cater for all requirements, ranging from the most delicate and featherweight undetectable hair systems to the more conventional designs that offer long-term durability.
We will help guide you through the various options available and will rate each hair system design against specific criteria: appearance; durability; comfort and maintenance - helping you choose the right hair system to suit your individual needs.
